In 2005, Susan Hornbeak-Ortiz and her husband Russ Ortiz started their firm Shine Home with hand-blown glass table lamps, then in 2006, they added pendant lamps and porcelain. Soon they established a brand known for its modern renderings of classic motifs of the beginning of the 20th century. In 2007, the company expanded adding furniture line of accent tables, case goods and dining tables.
